I really want to make this an enjoyable summer.  Cruise around, see new places, wander out into the woods a bit more, maybe see Bar Harbor again…  Stuff like that.  Also stop taking the red line into work everyday.  That thing is a sweat box in the summer.  I am happy to say I’ve purchased my first new vehicle.  A 2009 Honda CRF230M.  Inexpensive, great on gas and fun to zip around on.  It’s a little light in the ass and underpowered on the highway but other than that an all around great bike.  Can’t wait to take it on some trails!  Here’s a pic.  (Yes that is a penguin on the helmet.)

got it up to 80 mph on the highway the other day. not too shabby for a little bike.

riding around i’ve noticed that non-harley davidson riders wave to each other as they pass. “hi, i’m on two wheels and so are you!” ah, well, while this is kind of nice, i’m just not going to wave. jesus christ i commute 2+ hours a day. i’m not waving to everybody on a bike i see. i’m busy trying to not get squished by a truck while shooting across three lanes and then braking hard to hit the HOV lane at 35mph so the cop doesn’t give the a wag of his finger. i’ll gladly buy you a pint and chat about how fun it is to ride but let’s chill on the waving.
